Asylum

Those who are in the United States because they fear being in their home country have the right to file an application for asylum. This application must be filed within one year of your arrival. Applications may include your spouse, and any unmarried children who are under the age of 21 at the time of application.
The asylum process can be very intrusive, and difficult. We understand this process because we have helped clients through these applications in the past. We will work tirelessly to make sure we represent you honestly, and effectively so you have the best possible chance of having your asylum application approved.

There are some important restrictions you should be aware of while your application is pending. First, may not be granted a work permit until your application has been submitted for 150 days. Second, only after your application for asylum is approved may you send for your spouse, and unmarried children under the age of 21. The petition to reunify your family must be made within two years of your application for asylum being approved.

At Impact Immigration Law Services we work with those who fear returning to their home countries due to their religion, politics, or race. We help asylum seekers nationwide from our Miami, FL offices.
